Cambodia

Cambodia is fast becoming one of the most popular south-east Asian destinations, especially to the magnificent  Angkor Wat temple at Siem Reap.  Angkor is the most renowned sanctuary but this is only one of over a hundred 7th to 12th century Khmer sites scattered around the vast complex at Siem Reap.  Facilities have been improved and there are hotels for the entire budget range.  Once inside the area you can wander freely  but transport is needed as many of the temples are a few kilometers apart.  We would recommend at least 3 days to fully appreciate the magnitude of the complex.  Fly direct from Bangkok and visit the breathtaking Khmer sanctuaries  at Siem Reap.

Example Itinerary 5 days/4 nights

Day 8

After breakfast in Chiang Mai, fly to Siem Reap via Bangkok.  Transfer to the Angkor Village Hotel where you will stay for 4 nights.
Day 9/10/11

Day 12

Fly to Bangkok or Phnom Penh where the trip ends.

Visa obtainable on arrival at an extra cost of $20)
